Hi there,
Below is an inquiry from Joeri from the imc-finance list asking for
clarification on how much money imc-africa needs for travel for the
conference.

There seems to be concern that imc-africa is asking for too much money, at
least if we don't raise any more for the conference (which won't happen, of
course). Perhaps we can clarify a bit.
Right now we have a great list of delegates intending to come from around
Africa. Some IMCs are interested in sending more than one, which is
great. At the very least we should do our best to get at least one person
from each IMC to be able to come to Senegal. What if we ask imc-finance
formally for enough money to get at least one person from each of the
interested IMC groups to get to the conference? Then we could have a firm,
manageable amount.
That would be:
1from South Africa = 877 Euro
1 from Ambazonia = 750 Euro
1 from Congo = 1200 Euro
1 from Angola = 1100 Euro
1 from Kenya = 1100 Euro
1 from Madiaq = 450
Total: 5477 Euro
Plus, 533 Euro to help pay for expenses in Senegal. Total = 6000 Euro.
If they release 6000 Euro to pay for the tickets immediately that will
assure the conference will have representation from at least 6 African
IMCs, plus Senegal. That will be great!
As for the fear from imc-finance that we're asking for too much, perhaps we
can tell IMC finance that we'll pay them back "33 cents on the
dollar." Meaning, if we raise 9,000 Euro toward the conference, we'll pay
imc-finance back 3000 Euro of what they lent. If we raise 15000 Euro we'll
pay them back 5000 Euro. In other words, imc-finance will assure the
conference will happen. We will make sure imc-finance doesn't have to be
afraid we'll drain all their money.
How does this sound?
