here's a translation of yacine bah's recent message (http://lists.indymedia.org/pipermail/imc-africa/2004-June/000396.html) into english (thanks to jb). apparently comrades wanting a message translated can go to http://translation.indymedia.org for assistance:
My name is oumar yacine bah, i'm a guinean journalist. With some friends,
weove an NGO called Cerad (Reflection circle about actions for development).
We're journalists, human right activists, economists and sociologists.
we're interested in indymedia and we're ready to collaborate to build a new,
better, world. But here we lack technical tools (computers and internet) to
broadcast our message, also we're fighting for free radios, which do not exist
in Guinea.
A friend, Carlos of Indymedia Estrecho, told us about indymedia. We'd like
to collaborate by sending articles on a number of topics, and build the Guinean
indymedia.
thanks.
