I'm really opposed to changing peoples writing - yeah some people give their articles random titles, but (having had a hand in writing/uploading several features/articles) this is usually because people don't think about the title until the last minute. Or they are total spammers . . . :-)

It ignores our aims, doesn't do to much for the 'unmoderated' status of the wire, and is pretty insulting.

... We believe that people taking back their voices is both vital to empowering individuals to define themselves as citizens rather than consumers, and creating sustainable communities.

How about amending the text on the publish page - I think duncan posted some amended text up. I will have a look and see what I can do. That publish page is a total pain, cause it is spread over about 3 files.
