HI Clare,
Oh dear! It seems dk (Don?) has misconstrued a few
things. In particular, that while AIM is here to allow people to
publicly expose wrongdoing through their postings, we don't put people
in prison! (In fact, some of us are not all that keen on the concept of
prisons!!!)

I think it is a bit like Victor - we have made an effort at rational
communication, and dk seems to want AIM to actively get involved in his
personal crusade against Dow. While this might come under our community
outreach focus, we have to actually have someone in New Plymouth to do
that - even if we wanted to!!!

Engagement doesn't seem to be working, so I think one more polite e-mail
to dk by someone other than Clare (to try and limit the focus from one
person) explaining that as we do not have the resources to do an
on-the-spot investigation, the only way that AIM can help `expose Dow's
evils' in New Pplymouth is through our newswire, and possibly through a
feature if something new happens or someone writes a good backgrounder
on the subject.

Then we just continue editing as per normal. I have been persuaded by
Finn's arguments to leave peoples names posted (at least until we have
time to develop/refine our ed policy) unless it is proven to be
factually incorrect.

The biggest problem seems to be incoherent postings on the Dow/New
Plymouth pollution issue.

I can write something to dk tommorrow hopefully if people like the
idea, and no-one else has time.

Cheers,
                Brian.
