HI Duncan,
                       Yep - I must admit that when hiding a duplicate 
post or two I have failed to first post a comment indicating that I have 
hidden it, which is what we are supposed to do. I have also touched up 
one or two articles typographically - though I haven't added links or 
changed content substantively (not counting the changes we made 
pre-publishing for the GE feature). Clearly, we should add a 
standardised editorial remark - I will follow what you wrote.

P.S. Many of the Alliance e-posters may simply have their mail 
preferences set badly. You can set it so that when you reply to a 
message, it does not automatically quote the original message, but you 
have to actually change this setting to make sure you don't get the 
exploding quotes.
