has anyone been able to make contact with him/her? actually that is
probably not the issue. i think the issue is how do we define these
postings? are they are a "pattern of attack"?

one thought i keep having is (i am not quite sure how to articulate
this so apologies in advance if i offend anyone or get the wrong end
of the stick) what is the relationship between the hassle of having
to hide articles and the concept of free expression of all ideas
whether i like them or not or whether they are a nuisance or not.

this is probably a side issue - i think it probably does come down to
defining whether this is a spam attack or if each article posted by
this individual/s should be looked at seperately.

yeah, anyway, i guess there's some thoughts.

have a good day - all

pip

>A spam attack is defined as a pattern of abuse of the newswire by a
>particular poster. If the editorial collective reaches consensus (at
>a meeting or on the listserv) that a specific individual is launching
>a spam attack on the AIMC newswire, the spammer's post(s) may be
>hidden from the newswire by a member of the editorial collective.
>Each instance of recognized spam will be considered individually, and
>the reason why the editorial collective perceives the post(s) as spam
>will be stated on the editorial list, as well as in a comment on the
>hidden article itself. When a member of the editorial collective
>hides a post, (s)he shall immediately notify the editorial listserv.
