As has been said before, this does not work. In fact it just makes
things worse. I note that his behavior hasn't changed since you emailed
him last night/this morn.

Design him a website then. There may well be a story in New Plymouth
that needs telling, but it ain't going to come from his mouth. I
wouldn't trust a word he says.

Ok, first of all, dk is not some kind working class hero. Perhaps if we
forget the 18 months of homophobic and sexist insults, the lies and
constant abuse then maybe I could possibly feel sorry for him. 

He hates indymedia ffs - looks as if he likes the investigate wire
though. Note how he behaves when there are no 'censors' around:

Thats just looking through his last week's comments. So why are you defending him?

No it would have to be done in the same way we deal with spammers.

I doubt this would happen. Generally spam attacks are met with a
determined ed collective and the spammer(s) get bored and give up. I
wouldn't be worried about him doing anything 'worse', he's only recently
learnt to post pictures the right size.

During a spam attack, we can still block specific IP addresses from
posting, we just have to keep an eye on who is posting [by looking
through the logs] and remember to remove the blocked IP address so other
users can post after the attack.

On a wider note, we shouldn't allow spammers threats dictate how we
operate our space.

How long for? Why does Clare have to put up with continual abuse? Is it
ok because it's online? What would happen if I went into a meeting, got in the
facilitators face and yelled "Hiding your chemical plant at every
opportunity is typical Kiwi. Shit people. Little pregnant looking birds
you want to kick real hard, thats you clare you bag of shit." 

Hmm, well at the very least I'd get kicked out of the meeting -
I'd probably be banned for life. Why is this acceptable online? Don't
you think that this continual abuse has an effect? 

How do you think his continual abuse affects the indy.nz community? How
many people has he put off from taking part? 

Obviously we need to do something about him, what do you suggest? If you
say "give him a feature" I'll kill ya ;)
