Because they didn't comment the article, or notify 
the list that they have hid it. And it shouldn't be 
hidden anyway, because the poster is not a spammer.

For the record I agree with this being hidden. In 
terms of news or information it was an empty post 
which justifies immediate hiding. What it did contain 
was a blatant self-promotion for someone's website in 
the form of a large image. We do not need this kind 
of bandwidth-heavy spam.
