Ok, first of all, DK should be added to the spammers list. He has:

*Spread misinformation by altering posted commercial news articles to
suit his [queer bashing] agenda.

*Repeatedly posting abusive and homophobic posts after being asked by
several people to stop.

*Abusing, threatening and harassing imc volunteers, both on the wire and
via email.

I emailed him the other day, for some reason my cc: didn't make it to
the list. Here is what I wrote:

I'm writing to you about your recent posts to indymedia.org.nz. I'm sure
that
you would have read our editorial policy by now
[http://indymedia.org.nz/edpol.php3] and know that many of your posts
have
breached our editorial policy in some way - such as repeat postings,
homophobic and abusive comments.

Right now I think it is safe to say that the majority of the a-imc
colective
and the users of indymedia.org.nz have had enough. I'm asking you to
stop.

Abusing the people that invest their time and energy into a site that
allows
*you* to voice your opinion will stop.

The insulting and derogatory posts and comments will stop. The
homophobic
posts and comments will stop. I do not spend hours each week working on
this
site to have some seething homophobe use it as a platform for irrational
hate.

If you don't stop, I will ask the editorial group to add you to the list
of
spammers. This means that that posts you make that breach our
editorial policy [ie most of them] will be hidden on sight. Considering
that
you have insulted and abused the majority of the ed collective, I can't
imagine too many objections to my request.

We do of course welcome your stories that don't breach the editorial
policy.

So what's it going to be? You can keep abusing everyone, destroy the
usability of the site and be effectively banned - or you can do what I
have
asked above and continue using indymedia.

If you cc your reply to people or organisations outside of a-imc, I will
request
that your added to the list of spammers. If you start sending me
barrages of
insulting emails, I will create a filter that will delete your emails
before
they touch my inbox. Then I will request your name be added to the list
of
spammers.

Scuse the formatting. Of course he replyed to me several times and cc'd
his email to several other media organisations.

Basically I have lost all patience with him - I guess the only reason
why he wasn't put on the spammer list before was because he is form NZ.

Basically it looks as if it's only Yuda, Clare and I active on this list
at the mo - so if you agree Yuda, spam he is.
