well, everyone should be anyway unless it is a designated spammer. (not
just name but reason why it was hidden too)

the reason why we weren't doing that with spammers is usually you have
to remove a whole heap of spam at once, and it takes ages.

also another thing is often posting several comments at once (ie saying
why you are hiding it) will fail to work. only the first one or two will
work.  

basically i reckon as long as we

 1. *always* say who hid stuff and why on non-spam articles/comments

 2. always email the list when we have hidden something (spam and
nonspam)

3. don't fall into immeaditely hiding things that should be discussed
first

we should be ok. 

(of course if people feel they have the time to comment on spam hidings,
they can.)
