Why hide it? Why not challenge it with some facts? Isn't
that the whole purpose of Indymedia? To be a place for
content the mainstream media don't want to discuss?

posts? <<

I think an Indymedia editorial collective has a
responsibility to hide nuisance postings (ads, duplicates,
empties etc) so that the postings containing content
(whether we think it informed or ignorant) can be read and
commented on by the casual readers of the site.

I do not think its function is to decide what opinions are
allowed to be expressed or to be be judge and jury on what
is and isn't racist, sexist, homophobic, anti-semitic etc
ChuckO's doublethink about opposing censorship on Indymedia
being "totalitarian" is nonsense - there are no right and
wrong opinions, only provable and unprovable claims of fact.
I feel really strongly about this and I'm going to take a
lot of convincing to start agreeing with ideological
censorship of Indymedia.

Strypey
