Fair enough, and I have my show successfully streamable in both Ogg and mp3
from paranode at the moment - links available from my website, a friend of
mine in the UK has been listening to the show. He says that he can't skip
through the file so there is definitely a need for people to be able to
donwload a file to play at their leisure.
Thinking further about that, I also imagine that people may like to download
one interview that interests them instead of the entire show as well,
Certainly anyone (like me) who is looking for interviews to play on their
own shows will prefer that. I'd say it would be ideal to be able to do both.
Then there's the issue of how much we archive, Paranode certainly seems to
be a monstrous storage space.

Have you viewed the www.radio.indymedia.org site, I often pick up stuff from
there - audio files are published in the same way that written articles are
on the main sites, except they disapear off the end of the wire, never to be
seen again after a time. Something like that could be good for us although
it would basically only have my show on it for a while (and maybe Joe
Citizen's).
The thing is, I have no idea whether there are another hundred people doing
a show like mine or if I am the only one in NZ (in which case we may as well
just post to the global audio wire or the mainA-IMC site). Possibly if we
have a nice bold link on the main A-IMC site to a new audio site that might
bring a few people out of the woodwork over time.
long term, a page like that will definetely be required though
Then we need an indyradio tech

Yes, but who? Do you have people in mind, for instance the Earthwise people
I imagine don't use computers much so you'd have to find someone with a
high level of dedication to organise someone else's show. Your thoughts -
can you find these people?

I have no idea whether things are flicked on to Paranode or not, the one
time I tried to upload an audio file to the A-IMC site it wouldn't work.
As for skill sharing - do we feel a wiki coming on?

I think at the moment a single list will be fine, when we get to the point
where there are lots of both types of discussion then we could split it up.
Maybe we can do some kind of 'presentation' about radio at the next IMC
'gathering', present the vision and see who is interested and ask the group
a few questions ourselves. Is that how things are done in the IMC?

PS sorry this is all stream-of-consciousness, it's weird trying to plan
something when so many variables are unknown
