Kia ora koutou,

Since we are now in a position of needing to migrate anyway I suggest we
save the CAT geeks some work and implement the shift to DadaIMC (rather than
doing 2 shifts Conway to Colourful, then Colourful to our chosen DadaIMC
server).

So we need a DADAIMC host who would be prepared to host AIM (considering our
traffic requirements). What are the options? We need to send a list to the
imc-aotearoa group for input. Once a consensus is reached, I suggest we get
a test site working on that server. Then when it is ready we put up a
feature on the old site (presuming it's still working) announcing the new
site, close open-publishing to the old site and change the DNS.

Two possible issues:
Has the mass migration from Stallman cast any light on the process on
shifting all the existing features and newswire posts to the new service?
What arrangements need to be made for getting multimedia auto-shifting onto
Paranode with a DadaIMC site?

Keen to help any way I can. Got Filezilla on this puter and the one in CHCH
and can put putty on easy enough.
