Kia ora koutou ko Finn,
I am starting with the assumption that we have a consensus on distributing the A-IMC sitework so that Finn doesn't burn out. So we need to figure out how to effectively move from a 'sole developer' model to a collective model.
For any of us to edit the site, we will need the appropriate passwords for accessing the Aotearoa portion of Conway (Cat's server). Finn, as I understand it you are proposing to share the password for the Aotearoa user on Conway. Would it be feasible to add those of us who want to help as users with our own passwords? The advantage of this being you could set permissions to access the parts of the file tree we are working on and keep us out of any crucial bits until you're sure we know what we're doing.
I for one am having a little trouble understanding Finn's list of 'things that need doing'. I guess thing one is that Finn is intimately familiar with the layout, what part of the site lives in what folder, whereas the rest of us don't have a clue. Maybe our first project as the A-IMC site collective should be to create a map or the filetree on Twiki?
Then we could identify the branches that need trimming and divide the jobs amongst us from there.
Thoughts?
