Cool thanks. Documentation is good. This is probably a good time to say
that a-imc is really keen to change our codebase to dadaimc. I have
installed it on a server running woody I set up at home without a hitch
[it's even got an install.php], so it probably wouldn't be to much stress
to set it up on colourful. Dada runs on php4 + mysql + gd - nothing too
fancy. http://dadaimc.org/installation.php

At the rate I'm going, I think I'll be able to get around to properly
installing something in a week - I'd like to get some development space
on a cat server. I'm a bit scared of opening up my server up to
the world :) I could do most of the work at home, but it's not exactly a
democratic design process.

I'm pretty busy atm, so what'll probably happen is that the current
active setup will be left as an archive if possible. There are some
scripts that can be used to migrate from standard to dada, but they are
written in perl which kinda scares me. Hey I'm learning though.

I have a few questions:
* Could I get a mysql database and some dev space? Where would be the
  best place for this?
* Would it be best to put off moving the current a-imc till after it becomes
  semi-irrelevent?
* Is maintaning the standard active a-imc gonna be a pain for cat in
the future? ie keeping old versions of php running, perl module
  problems etc etc.
* Dada has no calendar - has anyone looked into calendars that could be
modified for public use? I noticed this in the TODO: consider moving
the whole calendar module within active to WebCalendar
webcalendar.sourceforge.net - has anyone done any work towards this?

Seeya's,
finn
