Hi,

Just been talking to ski on irc, and he can give us an account on dega:
http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Sysadmin/DegaInfo

or deskaheh:
http://deskaheh.indymedia.org

Apparently dega has better uptime, and has a faster internet connection.
I had a good laugh at the pictures online, but apparently it's a good
server - dunno if I am convinced though :)

Deskaheh is hosted by the ACLU, so is safe from fascists confiscating it.

Both are free, though it would be nice to contribute a bit towards
hardware in the future. Ski runs both the servers, and also gives others
sudo access if they can help out. There's no formal server collectives
or anything. Dega has about 15Gb free, I think that Deskaheh has 100Gb
[something huge anyway].

>From what I have read, deskaheh seems like the better option - ski said
there wasn't much difference though. I am thinking that deskaheh may be
a better long term option with the ACLU hosting and the large HD space.

I'd like to get this migration done over Easter weekend - with everyones
blessing I'll get an account on deskaheh and get this migration happnin.

Cool?
