[IMC-bristol] tech_2 in lancaster coming up

Dear bristol tech friends,

tech2 is coming up again this summer.
we're in lancaster, making contacts with all sorts of interesting folk there.

it would be great to see anyone/everyone from bristol (or bristol 
tech_2 list) there.  please get in touch with me if you fancy the 
trip up, and especially if you want to go on the renewable energy 
course - the places are booking up fast.

if any imc-ers would like to come, they'll be opportunities to 
upskill on linux/server-side stuffs, try out the portable media lab 
which could be just right for protests, festivals &tc (you can learn 
how to build one yourself), and also take part in some of our 
wireless video streaming experiments.

i don't think toni will make it, but bill and i will both be there 
the whole time, so we can also talk about tronic/server migration 
issues - in person and in nice surroundings.

think of it as a sort of busman's holiday - well, i do.  it should be 
quite easygoing but a nice chance to get away from it all and focus 
on stuff.  the countryside is beautiful and people are welcome to dip 
in and out, combining it with walks, trips, etc.

there's shared accomodation and food for everyone who makes it, and 
if there's a group from bristol and you're feeling skint, get back to 
me, and i might be able to find something in the budget to help with 
car hire or similar.

only trouble is... we'll miss the cube opening  - but we'll be thinking of ya!

okay - apologies to bristol imc for slightly off-topic posting - but 
would be great to see you in lancaster.
