hi all in bristol, 

i forgot to send this to the bristol list, too. even though i
don't know if you want to engage i thought you should be in the 
information loop. one of my thoughts below is to create a direct
link to the bristol site from the uk subsection menu.

i'm forwarding it to uk-features and uk-network cause that's the lists
dealing with uk content, or regions/nations respectively. i'll cc the
london list too as pple need to take a decision what to do with hackney

following mike's argument of scotland being a nation as opposed to
being a region i agree with tony that this applies to wales, too. we
could thus go for the following top-level middle columns:
UK | Scotland | Wales | World | Major Reports (Archive?)

we could set up the Wales link to direct straight to the existing site
at http://www.indycymru.org.uk/
each of the other top-level middle columns could have subsections. it
could be structured into sth like this:

UK subsections: 
Bristol(link through to their site) - Lancaster(as soon they want) -
Liverpool(as soon they want) - London(renamed Hackney) - Manchester(as
soon they want) - Archive(older UK features)

Scotland subsections: 
whatever they decide on - anarchobabe has already thought of scottish
culture, society, ecology or world subsections, see

World subsections (same as now plus iraqwarthreat & archive):
