[IMC-bristol] Meeting 14/10/02 You MUST respond

I assume that from the lack of response from the list
that there will not be a meeting tonight as Tony
Gosling suggested a couple of weeks back
This does seem to be a bit of a recurring theme, in
that someone will propose a meeting to the list, get
little or no response and not mention it again, then
someone else will propose a meeting get little or no
response etc.
My feeling is that if we are to do the indymedia
project justice then we will have to have regular
meetings to share idea’s and importantly then take
those idea’s forward and make them reality.
There are several things that I would like to see get
off the ground:-
- an event for media democracy day on 18th Oct (I
realise it’s a bit late now but we could still get a
flyer together or something)
- Some outreach work possibly involving some media
activism training
- Local screenings of Newsreel Europe
- Regular Bristol submissions to newsreel Europe
I am sure that there are many of you who also have
great plans, but the reality is that they mean nothing
until we make them happen.
I would like to have a meeting before the 18th to see
if we can get anything together in time.

 So I propose a meeting at the Farm Pub, St Werbergs,
on Tuesday the 14th October 7:30pm- until it finishes

I would like everyone on the list to respond to say:-
If they will be there,
If they will be unable to be there, 
If they don’t like the venue or time
If they don’t want to be involved in bristol.indymedia
anymore
If they don’t think we should have a meeting 
– anything Just respond so as we can get discussion
going, and move on.

I will send a e-mail at about Midday Monday to confirm
that the meeting is going ahead (as long as at least
eight people respond positively)
