Hi, this is an invitation to the irc channel #nowaruk

you're probably aware that we used an irc channel to make the timelines for 
the imc-uk features during the last few weekends.

The irc channel #nowaruk will be open again this weekend. Today, a
march to the US embassy will take place in London, also stuff in Scotland 
and probably many other places. On Sunday, reclaim the bases.
So if you're in front of a computer this weekend, join irc.

If you're getting calls from people in the streets, please put the info on 
irc, so
that the timeline can be updated.

A few remarks out of the irc experience on the 22nd:

- to make sure that we don't mess up each other's work on features, we 
agreed that only one person is in each feature on cgi. This is indicated by 
a change of nickname, like ionnek_cgi.

- it would be helpful to include the time of the incoming "call from the
streets" or the actual event.

- also indicate how you heard about the event - did you see it yourself? 
did you get a phonecall? did the caller see it him/herself?

- If somebody gets a call about a longer, more detailed story, it would be
good to put that report on the newswire, so that we can link to it from the
timeline. Same for anyone who was out in the streets.

- for those who are not on irc (slow connections etc), it's nice to get
occasional updates on features.

If you have difficulties joining the irc, or haven't done it before, post
to the network list - we'll try to advise.

If the lists go down, remember the emergency list.
