hers a copy of the blurb i sent to the cube for September 23rd screening - 
i suggest we have a meeting / film showing at somebodies house to discuss 
what we want to show at future events...

Title   -     Indymedia film nights

Body of text  -       An ongoing showcase of contemporary filmmakers who 
are finding new forms of cinema to show resistance to globalization 
throughout the world.

Tonights line up includes community films from the Knowle West media 
project, the Indymedia euro newsreel, vision 20/20 - a short film about the 
impact of genetically modified seeds on Indian farmers and local campaign 
speakers.

The main feature will be THE HUMAN SHIELDS - from the makers of "Not in my 
name" and "Proud Arabs, Texas Oilmen" - In January 2003 around 25 people 
got in three London double-decker buses and set out for Iraq. Their aim was 
to stop a war. The film asks what difference did the human shields make? 
Did they save lives? Did they affect the conduct of the war?

£3 waged, £2 unwaged ( no one turned away through lack of funds ) [please
