Hello there.

I know that you are extremely busy but I was wondering if I
could possibly take a few moments of your time to ask you a
few questions. I am a third year journalism student at
Staffordshire University and I have to write up a 2,000
word essay about the role of a journalist when it comes to
reporting minorities and reporting during war.
I would be extremely grateful if you could answer the
following questions as honestly and as fully as possible.

Do journalists have a responsibility to remain impartial
and report the truth, even during a war? Explain why.

What type of propoganda do journalists face during a war
and how much pressure is placed on them not to print
damaging material?

What do you believe is a journalists main objective.
reporting the truth or protecting national security? And
why?

Why do you think that more people have been hitting your
site for the latest news instead of the mainstream
stations? Do you think they believe what they hear and
watch from the mainstream news services?

How do you report on a minority during a war, like muslims
in todays climate, when there are a lot of them in this
country?

What pitfalls can a journalist face during a war?

What do you class as a minority and what difficulties does
this cause when reporting on them?

What sort of relationship do journalists have with the
state during a war?

Thank you so much for your time and I hope to hear your
opinions really soon.

Take care, all the best, and keep up the good work.
