Yes. Specially during the war, as that is when the media spin doctors become a real menace. Most of the main media are not trusted by lots of people who can find out the spin, by reading articles in the internet. And the main strem media has lost its ability to hold our attension.

No idea mate I have not gone through that s*** yet. But I can give an example during the Thatcher years. A friend of mine was a part time jounalist and he was given the job of covering Mrs. Thatcher's holiday in Barbados as all the other prominent jounalists were busy covering more 'interesting' stuff. During the holiday Mr. and Mrs. Thatcher allegedly sign papers buying into shares in a shipping corporation in Barbados. One day the journalists were advised by the officials that Mrs. Thatcher is off her holiday for one day and will attend a meeting of the world's Drug Enforcement Agencies, as PM. There she gave a scathing speech about crack/ cocaine problems in inner cities of Britain. Please note that there was not much of a problem then. Next day all the media gave the first page to the speech, and even people who did not know what the hell crack is got to know. The jounalists were advised .... hmmm allegedly told.... not to mention about the share buying in the Shipping Corporation. Well decide yourself.

To hell with the national security. What is security? If we are told the truth we will create a society which will be secured what ever happens. If we do not know the reality, we will live today with ignorence, but our future will be in jeopardy, as we already know.

Sorry the site you mention is not mine. I go there to collect more stable and truthful information. And I supply anyone with stable and thruthful information to any site who will accept.
How do you report on a minority during a war, like muslims
> in todays climate, when there are a lot of them in this
> country?
Well for me muslims are the same as christians, do not spin your story for the audience you are talking. That way you are not saying the truth. If the muslims cannot accept the truth without spin they cannot be calling themselves Muslims. That goes for any creed or category.
What pitfalls can a journalist face during a war?

Sorry no idea.

What do you class as a minority and what difficulties does
this cause when reporting on them?
I am an anarchist and I do nat believe in minorities. If you really want to know this British government is elected from and by a minority.

What sort of relationship do journalists have with the
> state during a war?
The same as we have during the peace time. We are reporters not spin doctors or politicians.
Hey I hope I gave you my honest opinion. By no way am I trying to cause any trouble for anyone by this letter. The statements given were as heard by me.

A Shariff (not a muslim)
