calendar looks good
and i agree with a606's and mike's points
particularly as regards having coming week's events where G8 call is

the calendar would then become another thing to monitor for content but
would definitely be worth this to stop the newswire looking like a bulletin
board and also so that site users can see at a glance whats happening when
and dont forget / miss things [as i've been doing quite a bit of that this
week, and its only wednesday (:') [this is my first attempt at one of those
smiley faces - looks bit more like pacman but i hope you get the idea!]]

perhaps then we can have a 'how to submit an article' bit, with tony's
suggested posting guidelines [see previous email] i.e. what, when, where
etc.
