Hey Lisa,

Nice to hear from you - sorry to only be in touch when there's a problem
- always the same story!

Anyhow - chhers for getting it sorted. Afm ew db errors still - I'll
ask martian to look at it today.

Must get that backup running every night - I shit myself because our
latest copy was nearly two months old!!!

Anyhow - would be real nice to meet up at some point, maybee in Liondon?

UK_MIR - well, we feel a bit out of the loop on this one - I guiess
that's our fault for not going to the uk meetings:)
It seems a bit wierd to me that no-body has talked about hosting the uk
server in the uk. Movement towards centralisation in Germany rather
than US seems a bit daft - where is our UK server project??? Also,
personally, I think JAVA is a real problem because it is a higher level
language - harder to learn, install, maintain, contribute to, etc, etc,
I may be wrong, but it seems to consolidate an exclusive tech hold on
the workings of the indymedia project rather than empower people to run
their own sites. Also ties everyone intop the same system rather than
encouraging diversification, etc, etc. But then, it looks good, and
some people [guys??] haqve worked hard on it. So, I love it and I hate
it, which is no great surprise. We will be sticking with active for a
while probably, and setting up the rss feeds into mir. Maybee we will
move to dadaIMC code, or maybee to mir, or maybee we will hack the
active base into yet another bristol variant! HA!

Any ideas on how to get the calendar to work?

Ciao - Mike...
