hi ian, mike, all,
thanks for your replies.
its really nice to have continuing contact with you all even if it just
happens around the server crashes..., and of course to be supporting bimc.
it would be nice to meet in london, tony and bill would like that too i'm
sure. foundary is as good place as any, though if sunny we could go
outside somwhere. we are all around for the first
few weeks of july at least.
about mir, i was just curious as i hadn't heard any of your voices in the
discussions. i totally agree, that the question is about priorities:
usabiliy and reliabiliy for readers and non-technical contributors, versus
self-sufficiency, learning, and networking between different skills and
communities locally to meet needs.
i guess every imc is going to be different in this. of course i would
think that the latter has got a lot going for it, and is more likely to
spin off new and unpredictable benefits just by people working together
and accessing eachothers resources,
but then, i'm not involved in running an imc ;)
let us know what we can do regarding any migration etc., but thats not to
say we're anxious to get rid of bimc - most of the time it chugs away
happily enough especially since bill did the kernal upgrade a while ago.
very best to you all,
lisa x
