[IMC-bristol] The Bristol e-mail list and its role

Shariff,
please don't think that there is "bossing about" here on Bristol
Indymedia. All that we are trying to do is to make the site and the e-mail
list easily manageable, particularly as the traffic on the site gets more
busy. It is with the best of intentions that Ian is asking everyone to
refrain from posting out messages that are not strictly Bristol linked. We
are all volunteers here - yourself included, of course - and there is only
so much time in the day.
Ian is not suggesting that this war "does not include Bristol people" in the
slightest. Please don't feel bitter as there is really no need.
Personally, I'm not sure about on line petitions being sent out. There's no
harm in I suppose. Posting out international news on the e-mail list is
something different all together. It's not what the Bristol list is for and
I would also ask people to refrain from doing this.
With respect. John Serpico.
