of world affairs are too far from my own .
yep I reckon I can se where your coming from and I'm down wit it ...
You do however seem to have some rather strange ideas about Bristol
Indymedia and the folks that keep it
in existance.

Indymedia is a new form of media, it's still going through it's teething
stage, having said that it works .
It works because a group of volunteers keep it up there so that any jack
punk  who can cut an paste and hit
the right button on an internet page can publish his or her shit  24hrs
a day seven days   ect ect .....

They have to deal up with every twat possible from raving nazis to
crusty anarcho nutters,  M15 , Mossad
who knows who boschs stuff onto IMC Bristol and for what reason  ??
open publishing means everyone can put anything on the site.
But despite having no control over who publishes, BIMC is liable to get
shafted / sued .
So obviously when we come to the dreaded word CENSORSHIP  of course BIMC
has an official censor
and as it's an important role with a lot of responsibilty he's on 80
grand a year ..
Yeah sure,  I should co co ..  someone has to take the responsibilty and
then reply to E mails and sometimes
abusive threats from the punters who posted the aforementioned
"offensive articles".

What you need to realise is that the very fact that Bristol has an
Indymedia site when London , manchester and Birmingham
don't says something about the people of bristol .

BIMC is run  by ordinary people and they are doing a very good job, the
site works very well this list is full of constructive
mails, they are very civilised and as far as i can recall their has
never been any serious rucktions .
obviously there are disagreements , life would be come a bit boring if
everyone agreed on everything ..

You seem to me to be full energy, and certainly very motivated  why
don't you get a long to some of the meetings and take an active role in
BIMC.  you are really having a go at people who are on your side of the
barricade , give them a hand .
