Have just recieved the following e-mail from Dave Morris. Unfortunately, as 
he explains below, he is unable to attend the Community news day at the 
Cuibe but sends his support to us all.

Hi all,

ta for the invite. It sounds like an excellent event and I would love to
come. Trouble is finding the time... I'm up to my neck in local residents
associations stuff, and heavily involved in helping organise a community
festival in a local park the following weekend. I cant really spare a
saturday. I'm sorry to let you down. However, that does mean that you may
be able to put the money saved to good use.

Please send my solidarity - as a community activist in Haringey, and also
having been one of the McLibel defendants, I believe that creating our own
media (leaflets, posters, websites etc - not forgetting face-to-face
communication) is vital if we are to tell the truth about what is happening
all around us. It also ensures that we can empower ourselves and our
communities to take direct control of our lives and all decision-making,
which is unfortunately currently in the hands of an oppressive and
exploitative system based on power and profiteering.
