Dear Christine / James / all

The screening on the 19th has been organised by Bristol Indymedia - not
BSTW, who have kindly circulated details via their list.

Ian of Bristol Indymedia has been in contact with the film makers of Why
War?, they do know about the screening and have been in discussion with
Ian as to the progress of their film, what format to send us etc.
Clearly they should have mentioned this to Christine as their producer
in order to save her unnecessary worry. As a voluntary collective
committed to developing and supporting independent media, and comprising
several independent film makers, Bristol Indymedia is very much aware of
both the trials and the importance of this way of working. We are keen
to support people working in independent media through getting their
work out to audiences, and we see it as important to work with film
makers to ensure that we present the work as they wish. Bristol
Indymedia would never screen work without obtaining permission from the
film makers and - where practical - inviting the film makers to attend.

I hope this is clear.

Thanks to James for passing Christine's message on, and Christine is
welcome to contact Ian or me direct: ian at videonetwork.org /
kyra at compactdance.org.uk
