I've seen the emails to the lists as well as the original post and I dont thin that crash's problem is with James's language. Like you said, there's no reason to stifle debate by going all PC.

The point is that indymedia, unlike a discussion in the pub, isnt just a forum for a few people to air their views and argue with each other. It has a pupose which users should bear in mind while they write. The idea of indymedia (as I understand it) is to provide a space in which news can be made public from the ground up. It is supposed to be informative. Reading James and some other idiot abuse someone doesnt inform anyone of anything other than the fact that there are some very childish people involved in the indymedia community.
