I recieved the follwing mail.....

Hello Mark,

It would appear that you have been upset by my placing an 'advert' on the
Indymedia Website since you see it as "Commercial Advertising". However,I
fail to see what's "commercial" about being £400 worse off;(the cost of
mounting this exhibition, not for taking any of the photographs in the first
place), just for bringing to the public a free exhibition in which the work
isn't for sale! And so, I believe you've taken it upon yourself to delete my
entry. What sort of a space is Indymedia if it isn't an outlet for creative
expression? Particularly when anything vaguely commercial was the last thing
on my mind! I'm also only government sponsored, (since I suffered a severe
head injury approximately 9 years ago which has left me with some ongoing
disabilities)at the moment. Admittedly, I'd love to be able to make a living
from photography, but that just aint gonna happen!(at least not in the short
term) Especially not by taking photographs of protest!

In Peace, Matt

P.S. I've re-entered the information on the site making it clearer that it's
a not for profit, (or indeed any form of incoming money) event.I hope
you'll feel happier about it now.

This is concerning cos I did none of the things mentioned and actually objected to the peter gabriel thing, along with others.

This is just not cricket. If anyone knows who it is please ask them to stop....

I can quite easily trace the originator and inform thier ISP / police (it is a criminal offence) who will no doubt take a dim view. This seems OTT but my friends are urging me to do so....

All this is concerning given the aims of indy media.

Cheers.

Mark.
