Hello Mike,

Thanks for that.

I have publicised this on both the Bristol-Activist & Bristol STW lists,
but this was only after it became clear it was already becoming public,
as a means of pre-empting any further dissemination of this news without
the qualifying detail attached to it.

If anyone feels it should be reposted, it would be preferable if it were
reposted in the format below.

James

*********************************
Dr Margaret Jones is in Eastwood Park prison for non-payment of fines
for anti-war and anti-nuclear protests.

Please write to her:

HT6970 (put this on envelope and letter/enclosures)
Eastwood Park
Wootton-under-edge
Falfield
Gloucestershire
GL12 8DB

Margaret has asked that publicity for this is kept at a low level, so as
not to create any confusion between this & the 'Iraq War On Trial'.
Below is further info from Rowland Dye, who plays a fantastic support &
publicity role.

"Margaret is serving 28 days (out after half) for refusal to pay fines
for various TP/anti-war actions. She doesn't wish her time inside to be
newsworthy as this could spread possible confusion about the IWOT trials
which will proceed later this year. She is happy to report that Eastwood

Park 'is much better than Holloway'!

*Visits*: As a convicted prisoner visits are more complex as she is
supplied with Visiting Orders (VOs) which have to posted out before you
can arrange the visit - and prison bureaucracy being what it is, she was
given them only today! I did manage to "sweet-talk" our visit on the
phone with plausible excuses & a special dispensation from the Governor!
So feel free to try the same. Otherwise it's probably to late already to
arrange a visit. Margaret says she will phone me, so if you have a
special request contact me and I'll see if I can sort something out at
short notice.

*Release*: Margaret expects to be released on Monday 12th at about
10.30-11.00 am. She would normally be happy to use the bus, but has two
urgent appointments back in Bristol. She wonders if someone with a car
would be able to arrange to come to meet her? Please let me or her know.

*Letters: *Again these and stamps are gratefully received, but make them
quick as she will be out soon."

Contact (Rowland Dye) 0117-951-2157.
