Hello Ian,

Well done on hiding those threads, personally there's about half a dozen 
other threads I would hide on the right hand column. They aren't news, 
but they are rhetoric, and they pock mark the right hand column in a way 
which makes the whole forum look like a mess.

As for banning IP addresses I wouldn't be into this, primarily because 
the alternative route of pro-actively hiding threads, and then standing 
by those decisions to hide threads, hasn't yet been fully adopted.

I know it can be difficult, especially if someone as belligerent as me 
gets on your collective case, but I feel it's the preferable option in 
terms of maintaining the open nature of this site. It's also important 
to remember that we all have a right to get it wrong, which applies to 
BIMC too.
