[IMC-bristol] FRONT PAGE! Community Media Day

I'm frontpageing the media day - can i suggest that if anyone wants to
put a new front page up between today and sat, they come to the list
first - as we need to big-up the event?

Here's the update info:

The workshops on the day run from 1 till 5 with tea and cake breaks –
they will cover various topics including Print/Magazines (with Bristle),
 Filmmaking (with plugincinema.com and community filmmakers Rob & Shawn),
 Subvertising and indy Record Labels/Music (with Parasite/Death$ucker
records).

At 5pm there will be food, then a 6pm a big discussion on media, communities
and so on (last years was an excellent forum for ideas – a kind of Question
Time for all!).

>From 8 its party time with live Jazz (from Dolan Molins Quartet) and
DJs Parasite, Rawkus and Juxtaposer - plus with VJ-ing by Anakissed.


Also there will be Greenleaf bookshop with a stall selling the best books
on making and thinking about media and related issues.

Entry is free, but with a suggested donation of £2.50.

So come along to the Cube Cinema and learn, share skills and generally
take part in reclaiming the media back into community hands – because
if we don't, you can be sure that Rupert Murdoch will!!
