Dear All,
I'm trying to trace anyone from Bristol who was involved
in the J18 Carnival against Capital held in the City of
London and around the country in 1999. I realise it's a
while ago now, and I?m sure you are all very busy doing
other things, but I would be truly grateful for even the
vaguest of recollections, snippets of the hard work, time
and energy put into this event from anyone who has the
time and energy left to chat to me.
I?ll be in Bristol next Friday ? June 18th (the
coincidence wasn?t planned!) and you can call me anytime
before or after that date ? I would happily meet you on
another day.(my details are below)
This is for my PhD research which is about protest, about
the creative and affirmative aspects of protest,
specifically demonstrations. I'm taking J18 as a
case-study event to try to present the hard work that goes
into events like J18, the creativity of this hard work and
the affects it has.
I would be very grateful to hear from you and would be
very happy to chat about my research in more detail if,
before you make a decision to contribute, you wish to know
more about it. All contributions, unless you say
otherwise, will be anonymous.
My sincere thanks for your time in advance. I look forward
to hearing from you.
All the Best
Nicola
