Tonight's show includes the work of several local filmmakers: Among the
short films showing is documentary 'break_it_down' by plugincinema.com
about the breakcore music scene. The feature is 'The Diamond Empire'
by Bristol based filmmaker Jani Roberts which exposes the sordid reality
in the heart of the multi-billion dollar diamond trade - including in
major African mines and in diamond cutting workshops. This is the first
showing in Bristol of the uncensored version of this film, as the version
that aired on the BBC has one third of the content cut. Jani is also
the author of the book 'Glitter and Greed: The Diamond Investigation'
and will be on hand to introduce the screening and take questions.
