Price options for possible BIMC CD rom.

Cheap and cheerfull DIY:

Cheapest option is we make 'em. Obviously to put in nice artwork is verrry time consuming but copying 100 or so discs is only a few hours (boring) work.

Cost: About 35p for disc and jewel case.

Cheap copy service:

100 discs with small one colour logo in clear sleeve.

Cost: £1.15 each, 100 minimum.

Nicey but pricey option:

Full colour print covering all of CD and jewel case with fold out artwork.

Cost: About £2.00 per disc, 100 minimum

So it would appear that there is a considerable risk in the higher cost options, £100 to £200, and no garuntee that they are floggable.

The DIY option may be a goer if a few people are willing to copy discs for a few hours and is definitely worth considering if anyone can be bothered with the hassle of printing and preparing inserts. Cost is only 35p and IMHO should shift 50 to 100 at cost or 50p, maybe also could be a freebie to those interested in having one????

Turn around times for commercial copiers is one week.

If we want to give it a try I think compilation of a disc is trivial task once content is decided upon.

What does everyone think?

Mark.
