i would suggest just leave it - we could email them and explain that the 
newswire is not a bulletin board - it serves as much as an archive of 
past events and discussions for groups and indiduals, and that if we 
leave the posting up, it will allow people who may be interested in Red 
Notes to see what they've been up to in the past and find a way of 
getting in touch with them- it increases the visibility for their 
activities so should be a good thing....
