[IMC-bristol] The imcvol question

Hi,

it seems to me that rather than creating individual logins, one possibly
simpler solution to the 'faked' imcvol issue would be to modify the
system we already have when hiding comments. Currently when a comment is
hidden, a blue box appears in place of the comment, with 'Deleted with
code "Policy Violation"' or something similar.

If it was possible to hide comments without having the 'Deleted with
code...' text appearing, we would then effectively be able to create
comments that would automagically appear in blue boxes, thus marking
them out as being by an administrator. Follow?

So it (theoretically) would work as:
1. Post a comment (anything, really)
2. Go to Article Options, and type the real comment we want to appear,
in the 'Display options' explanation box
3. Under 'code:' select a new code that will prevent the text appearing
somehow, then click 'Set display options'

technically possible?
