Good call, I say. It's local, it supports local group (an awesome one),
that they're not white is nice (not to be patronizing) and it contributes to
the consciousness that chicagoans are out doing stuff and "you" should too.
It gives people a place to plug in to. While I have much admiration for
our block on tuesday's action, this Little Village story is a good example
of keeping the center column flowing.
Other upcoming events that have my pre-approval are pretty obvious,
like Friday's Rabih Hadad sic, march or the Candlelight March down
Michigan. Rabih Hadad more so because we could put a focus on growing civil
rights violations.
also, it was dark by the time I got past the Des Plaines cemetary so I
couldn't make an image of the Haymarket Martyrs statue, but I will keep it
in mind the next time I am able. ciao, g
>Dick has proposed and I concur that we center panel the Little Village/coal
>power plant yesterday at Daley's office. It's a short story, w/photos, not
>the most indepth content; on the flip side, we've done no local feature
>for,
>like, forever.

>what do people say? I can crib the intro graph for the current story (see
>url) and build photo links. How about it?
