Hola,
     1. Doug, apologies, I realize that this is totally appropriate and
that your thesis makes sense, it is supporting the next step of the
momentum. I don't see that chris g is going to shoot, so I am coming in for
the vigil to shoot, I will post at my sister's within a few hours of the
end.
     2. The other topics, Korean Rally, immigrant's rights march; if we
receive content for this on the newswire, or someone had covered it and
someone has the energy to etch out a story block, yes. If not, well, then
we don't have it. ps. I wish we had local coverage of the chicago
protesters.....deja' vu I was thinking we could do it anyway, but maybe
let's give the library, Rabih Haddad, and sunday vigil space, that's enough
work too...
    3. Other topics like the 102 wrongfully convicted, I feel strong about,
but I think it would be better to pull down a good center column on the
vigil. Also, I am not as up on the content for criminal injustice.
    4. Rabih Haddad march, yes. If Chris G covered it, lets get a block
up, even if it's put up monday, as long as it's in chronological order. The
Chicago Public Library feature is exciting because it won't be about a
protest. I have a graphic of an overstuffed bookstore in Mexico City, it is
filled floor to ceiling out to the sidewalk, several people are looking at
material and another person is carrying a small stack. I can do a thumbnail
for response... a little humor.. ; )
    5. promo articles, this is really great and if Emily and Chris K have
the initiative, let's support it. 1/4 sheet flyers, press passes, business
cards seem to be the priority. We had a conversation on stickers in the
past concerning their random public placement implicating us in unfavorable
ways. perhaps this can be reviewed. I think little catchy stickers could
do a lot for us in terms of getting indymedia into people's consciousness's
. Everybody loves stickers.. same with buttons, I (shape of heart)
Chicago.Inymedia.org ?? differentiation between imc reporters is
important..
    6. Doug's got a good point about doing pre-approval of story ideas. I
think it's important to make sure we set our commitments at levels we can
manage.
well, this is pretty exciting working on this, I feel like we're
moving in a good direction with things, garth
