First of all we did a tour to see different repressive realities in
different IMCs:

Main complaints are from Israel IMC and Ambazonia IMC.

Ambazonia IMC: Members of this IMC have suffered repression due to their
participation in Independence struggle of that unrecognized country so they
encounter difficulties to find people ready to work with them as ppl is
scared of suffering repression. Ambazonia was "was to be independent in 1961
but was occupied by french cameroon troops under the leadership of french
paratroopers".

Israel IMC: Lot of their members repressed when they struggle in different
issues. Have been called by the police a few times. Once some of them were
involved in a direct action in the neighborhood and they got a visit before
the action (which was about the welfare cuts and taxes) from a bunch of guys
and gals with police badges and cable/phone company shirts. "They had
cuffs... so we just argued with them and they left, after inquiring we were
sent a letter by the police that it wasn't them".

They have a video team encountering a lot of legal problems. "The video team
for example is constantly getting into leagal battles over materials -
things usually go though the sensors here. But they win." The video team has
to shows on local access TV. A lot of material is been aired for now.

Dru from Canada reported a cop writting to them about some posts in the
newswire. "We had racist/white power types posting the same articles many
times per day. I couldn't keep up, so I posted to the newswire and list
asking for volunteers. Now we've got 4 people watching the wire, and it's
pretty clean." "some anti-racist activists posted a picture of a nazi
organizer standing in from of some swastikas. the guy, who was trying to
pass himself off as moderate, contacted the police, who contacted the list,
the cop just said he wanted to talk, no big deal, really, since nothing
happened after I didn't get back to the cop."

Hanna from Finland IMC: reported a trolled that spammed the newswire and the
email list.
Belgium reported a simmilar problem "well, every time there is an event that
involves anti racist action, we get racist and zionist spam, it'sz scary".

During the meeting, we receive news about a person wearing an IMC badge
arrested in Copenhagen.

Belgium: there have been continuous spamwars agains imc-belgium, far right
and zionist extremist ...there are also media activists getting arrested ad
all the big actions, getting material confiscated or just plain stolen
camera's and stuff and the worst is, there is a law proposal being discussed
in parliament next week that would outlaw the legal teams that is not a very
good prospect, when all the eu summist will be held in brussels starting
2004

South Africa: Not so much repression agains IMC, but against movements IMC
activists belong to. "25 people are in hiding in cape town townships from
the anti-eviction campaign the ANC stated clearly that they "gonna deal with
them" we have 8$ left in the bank account for further bails and it's the
same problem with all the movements involved with IMC so I put us in an
uncomfortable position not so efficient anymore... "
