Subject: [Resolve] focus on creating resolution process?
Hello all,
Again Resolve is becoming dominated by accusations and
counter-accusations regarding various conflicts in the network. With
complete respect for these persons-in-conflict, I nonetheless have to
point out that Resolve is not prepared to deal with these conflicts.
It seems that discussion on how the Resolve list can actually begin
figuring out how to do its work fizzled out about a month ago. I'll
certainly take my fair share of responsibility for not following up.
As far as I can tell, when there was last activity on defining the
purpose and approach of this list, we were coming to agreement on this
purpose:
1. Resolve will focus attention and effort on developing a conflict
resolution process.
2. Resolve will not be conflict resolution forum until this process is
consented upon.

)
There were no objections raised to this. Therefore, it seems like
amongst the participants on this list there was agreement that Resolve
cannot deal with the types of conflicts being aired here.
I would like to respectfully ask people currently posting the details of
conflict here to please stop so that Resolve can get back to the work of
actually defining a conflict resolution process. The end result will be
much more useful than what's happening now, if simply because it doesn't
seem as though any conflicts are being resolved.
