[CIMC-working] RE: "no story to tell yet" explanation requested FW:[Chicago-tech] photos hosing again

Chris, No story to tell yet is a generic error. It may mean
a number of things. The posters can't implement a fix and
trying to figure out what story admin is will be useless for them.

No story to tell needs to go to the tech list--or should be
checked by anyone who has the story admin password.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding... but I don't think these explanations
should go to anyone unless it refers to their specific posts.

Otherwise, their "no story to tell" error may have nothing to do
with this "no story to tell" and just discourage them.

Techs,

I am forwarding this email via blind-carbon-copy to a reader/poster whose
post is showing up as "No story to tell yet." Hopefully the below will
provide a partial explanation, but is there anything else I should forward,
as additional information?

Thanks,

Chris

Don, I did the three one at a time in story admin--that
pushed them through (one at a time). I got to 308 last.

Dull, but it works.

Some response is slow (pipeline never fat enough) and it is very likely
that also caused timeouts when you were loading the pix.

Dick's three seem to be working OK now, and Garth's as well (except for one
picture -- #17308). There are multiple postings, some of which can now
be eliminated. All the images are actually OK on loudeye
(images.indymedia.org/chicago/) but those stories & anchors are messed up
as happened previously).

STORY
17296 not good (Garth #1 first try)
17303 OK -- (Garth #2) linked 17304-17307 and 17309 OK, 17308 missing
17316 OK -- (DIck #1) linked 17317-22 OK
17326 OK -- (DIck #2) linked 17327-31 OK
17332 not good -- (DIck #2 first try)
17339 OK -- (Garth #1) linked 17340-17345 OK
17346 OK -- (DIck #3) linked 17347-49 OK
