On December 15th there was a meeting online of IMC volunteers, this was
the 6th real-time meeting organised by the commwork working group, the
meeting used the indymedia chatrooms to discuss current issues.

This time the discussion moved into four 'rooms' these were
#repression, #latina, #world_social_forum and #process.

Each of these groups wrote a summary of what they discussed. These

#repression: 
First of all we did a tour to see different repressive realities in
different IMCs: 

Main complaints are from Israel IMC and Ambazonia IMC.

Ambazonia IMC: Members of this IMC have suffered repression due to
their participation in Independence struggle of that unrecognized
country so they encounter difficulties to find people ready to work
with them as people is scared of suffering repression. Ambazonia was
"was to be independent in 1961 but was occupied by french cameroon
troops under the leadership of french paratroopers". ...

#latina Summary (this is the full text)

We are working on a grant to ship a container of computers to
argentina. A shipment to ecuador is sitting in customs in Quito waiting
for us to bribe the right person.... as soon as we figure out who! We
also talked about some minor stuff, like getting a digital camera for
the Cochabamba imc and the like.

#World Social Forum (#wsf) (This is the full text)

We just talked a little about some of the planning. Problems with press
spaces and the offical WSF organizers. We talked about trying to find a
house to rent in porto alegre for imc people to crash... discovered
that a dsl line is SUPER expensive in POA... and encouraged people to
sign up to the imc-wsf list. We also talked about needing to learn more
/ get more euro partipcation to learn from the Hub project.

#process (This is the full text)

1- We have been talking about the different lists of coordination and
their utility it has been said that when the process of revising them
(which is already on) is finished there will be decissions about which
to close and which to keep.

2- We talked about having people to summarize in the different lists.
In this point everyone has agreed but there has been different
suggestions about the best method to do it: - each fortnight should be
done and call it a bulletin or resume - a turn could be established
from the different imcs, that has been rejected because it has been
said that some imcs could nort afford the time or people to do it - the
priority would be for global lists no the local ones but maybe the
summaries list would be a good idea

3- a discussion has started about how to do it. Someone suggested using
the twiki but objections have raised from people saying that the wiki
was a bit difficult to use by people not familiarized so maybe just
posting can be done.

4- a sort of suggestion for a tech caravan has raised but nothing very
concrete has been said about it except that people has expressed some
ideas about making it a train, that there is still some money left from
the ones of south america which could be used for that. Someone has
commented that it has been talked about solidarity with eastern europe
imcs at the last european meeting. A small group of people is trying to
work on filling communication on the imc-europe-commwork mailing list.
