hey folks,
read through the emails. here's some responses.
1. Chicago Media Working Groups proposal to Channel 11. While we
aren't in denial about being media activists, I would want more
discussion/background info on the dynamics. I'm curious about the language
in the proposal. If we got a letter out of the blue from a group we'd had
little or no relationship with before telling us they set a meeting up and
decided the time and place without our input I think we would likely ignore
them.
2. Chris, I know you said that funds for the global south are
pre-approved, what now with this and LA? Sometimes I am not sure why you
are forwarding certain things. Could you add a quick memo to the top?
3. This includes the article on the usage of subject lines. If
you are proposing this for us I think we are
small enough to ask eachother to be clearer in subject lines.
4. Doug I like your letter, I think we should send it out and
start getting answers on these issues.
5. sigh, I just spent quite some time going through some of these
global listserves surrounding the TMF issue and it is quickly leading to
burnout. I get the feeling that like many other collectives, I want to do
actual work, putting together features, following news, etc. There seems to
be a duplicity of listserves that were created at times correlating to a
certain gumption for a new initiative. Let's just move forward.
egad, mr. g.
