IMC Prague exists to promote alternative media in the Czech
Republic.

In March of this year a few activists got together and decided it was
about time to update the old Prague IMC pages, which still
reported on the S26 2000 protests. So we went through the
process to qualify again as a new IMC, achieving this without any
hitches in October. Just in time for coverage of the NATO summit
at the end of November - we think we did a good job of covering the
stories despite a relatively high level of police and secret service
harrasment, and we were pleased to be featured on the global
indymedia page.

We started a monthly film night in October, the next one is tied in
with a benefit gig on January 24. Our latest news is that we
successfully transferred the website to a new server. It now runs on
DadaIMC. So plans for the future are to consolidate ... we want to
add sections to the new site, continue with the film nights, perhaps
do a print project.

The IMC network helped us a lot during our qulaification and again
during the NATO summit. Thanks especially to IMC people from
UK, Belgium, Austria, Germany and Idaho.
And we'd like to make more links with Eastern European IMCs like
Poland and Zagreb. 

The opportunities for helping us are numerous, we're still a small
team. Translators are always welcome. Other than we just want
more people to read the site and post articles !
