this is proposed as a new feature of coverage updates...

the feature put up today (with mostly background info) stands alone and is 
already too long.

Updates on TABD Protests

<p>More than 2500 marched to protest the Trans-Atlantic Business Dialog 
summit on Thursday, November 7.  Before the march, protesters applauded 
anti-war, anti-Boeing and pro-worker speakers who addressed the crowd 
outside of Boeing headquarters at Washington and Riverfront Plaza. 
Demonstrators expressed grave concerns with Boeing's thirst for profits at 
the expense of bombed civilians, lost city tax revenue and laid-off 
workers. Various social justice movements were clearly represented--as 
evidenced by signs and chants: labor, peace, global justice 
(anti-globalization/imf/ftaa/wto/etc.), anarchist, etc.

<p>Protesters were spirited and peaceful. The march progressed peacefully 
east on Washington and north on Michigan, the streets lined by thousands of 
police officers. Two arrests are reported, including one of an animal 
rights activist who was incongruously accused of trying to punch a horse. 
Corporate press reports paid more attention to the massive number of police 
that the issues inspiring the protesters. For background on the issues, see
