Doug, all,
Looks fine by me. I like that it's compact. Couple thoughts, though:
If you think it's okay, and not too much of a burden on you, could you put =
in the articles'/posts' titles in as active links, instead of "1, 2, 3"? =
I realize I'm the one who said "Why not 'Story 1,' 'Story 2,' and so on,"=
but I think maybe the actual titles would be more appealing to readers.
Also, the Azteca workers had a presence at the protest yesterday, and there=
is a story on their fight. Could we link it in?:

Chris and Chris,

what do you think of new title and spin in the short story block?
and the way the next events are listed at top?
planning now to post it in the morning. just to let it sit.

Thursday, November 7: More than 2500 marched to protest the=20
Trans-Atlantic Business Dialog summit. Before the march, protesters=20
applauded various anti-war, anti-Boeing and pro-worker speakers who=20
addressed the crowd outside of Boeing headquarters at Washington and=20
Riverfront Plaza. Demonstrators expressed grave concerns with TABD=20
corporations' bloody thirst for profits at the expense of bombed civilians=
=20
and laid-off workers. Various social justice movements were clearly=20
represented--as evidenced by signs and chants: labor, peace, global justice=
=20
(anti-globalization/imf/wto/etc.), anarchist, etc. A sub-theme of the march=
=20
were posters depicting the TABD businessmen as vampires and youths dressed=
=20
in suits with fangs.

Protesters were spirited and peaceful as the march progressed east on=20
Washington and north on Michigan. The streets were lined by thousands of=20
police officers. Two arrests are reported, including one of an animal=20
rights activist who was incongruously accused of trying to punch a horse.=

Corporate press reports paid more attention to the massive number of police=
